Compensators (muzzle brakes) perform two tasks. The primary task is of course the cushioning of the return and the weapon to the gun for a pleasant gunfire and to be back on the finish faster.
In addition, compensators also serve as a clutch to assemble a silencer. On the B&T compensators, B&T Rotex-IIa silencer can be attached without tools in a few seconds.
