When using a silencer, the gas recoil in the face of the user is not only annoying, but also a health risk, especially on closed shooting stands. The new RBS suppressor significantly reduces the amount of combustion gases from the outfit and the loading handle.
As it makes sense to use silencers in the police and military area, the escaping of the gases withdrawn from the out of the turning window and the charging handle has various disadvantages. B&T has tackled these problems with the new RBS Supressor. The new design of the low -pressure chamber allows a considerable amount of gases to absorb and thus reduce the back pressure, which makes the RBS an excellent choice for semi -automatic carabiners, assault rifles and machine guns.
While normal suppressors increase the cadence by up to more than 30% due to the gas press interior, measurements have shown that the RBS is only around 4%, which also significantly reduces the weapon’s wear. This is due to the special construction of the first chamber of expansion, which reduces the pressure in less than half the time and thus prevents a gas back jam. Another advantage is the significantly reduced pollution of the system.
The low-pressure expansion chamber increases the size and weight of the silencer compared to conventional silencers only minimally, while muzzle fire and noise are suppressed as well as with the proven B&T sound absorbers.
The RBS is available in the calibers 5.56 (.223) and 7.62 (.308) in a directly assembled version (DM) for different muzzle threads and with a newly developed quick -release (QD) suitable for all NATO A2 estuary dampers.
